National Sales Director

Velsoft is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Sales Director to lead our inside and outside sales teams. The National Sales Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving sales success.


Summary:

We see a National Sales Director as being responsible for leading their sales team to meet and exceed goals. The essential duties include hiring, developing members of the company’s talent pool as well as training them on various techniques that are needed to reach set KPIs and gross profit targets.


In addition to the above, the National Sales Director will also be responsible for the following:

  • Motivating and inspiring team members to meet sales targets that match the company’s goals
  • Training and orienting new hires
  • Creating good rapport with customers to develop and maintain existing and fostering net new relationships
  • Giving detailed customer presentations on proposals and acting as the public face of the company’s sales force
  • Publicly presenting the core competencies at partner & trade show events
  • Developing and communicating revenue targets to management, and individual sales goals to the sales team & upper management
  • Establishing weekly, monthly, and yearly targets to act as a guideline that enables measurement of individual and group performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accuracy of forward-looking forecasts.
  • Maintaining accuracy of entries in our CRM.
  • Making suggestions for continuous improvement in sales execution.
  • Encouraging, creation and maintenance of pursuit plans.
  • Maintain awareness of revenue / margin / budgets to find means of optimizing programs and profitability.


Requirements:

  • Driving new business opportunities, vendor lead programs and referrals.
  • Sales of product / Professional Services / Managed Services.
  • Drive new market segments (with the CTO).
  • Maintain awareness of competition.
  • Drive expansion within the existing customer base.
  • Look for and pursue partnership opportunities with Vendors or other Non-competitive VAR’s.
  • Contribute with the Executive Team on Company goals and strategies.
  • Attend trade shows to find areas of potential growth.
  • Increase the number of offerings within each customer.


Mentorship:

  • Guide and mentor direct reports.
  • Share information with the executive team.
  • Share information with the General Team (Lunch and learns, webinars, etc.).
  • Leverage the greater team to identify areas for efficiency within processes.


Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $82,000 – $127,000 per year + commission + team commission

Work Location: In person
