Our Microsoft Office Word 2010: Advanced courseware and training material includes plenty of information on the various objects that can be added to Word documents.
Section One focuses on images and all the cool things that you can do with them. Special focus is given to formatting and artistic tools, which are improving in every version!
Section Two discusses shapes. Participants will walk through all the various tasks, including drawing, editing, formatting, and adding text to them. The various shape-related dialogs and the Selection Pane are also covered.
Section Three branches out and covers several different types of objects. Text boxes are first, with similarities to shapes emphasized. WordArt is next, followed by two lessons on SmartArt. (This diagramming tool allows you to easily create a professional-looking diagram that can include text and/or photos.) The final lesson covers watermarks, Building Blocks, and Quick Parts.
Section Four gets into data management, covering all aspects of table creation and formatting.
Section Five?wraps up Microsoft Office Word 2010: Advanced and follows up by showing participants how to create charts and equations.
