Section One
focuses on what Microsoft SharePoint Designer is, how to manage basic site objects, how to customize the workspace, and how to get help in the program.
Section Two
is all about understanding and customizing the SharePoint Designer interface. Topics include an overview of interface components, a list of keyboard
shortcuts, information on using and customizing the Quick Access toolbar, and information on customizing the ribbon itself.
Section Three
shows students how to create a basic HTML page. Everything from basic HTML tags, to using HTML Tag tools, to formatting and editing techniques, is
covered in this comprehensive section.
Section Four
will get into creating a basic site. First, organization and file management techniques for pages are covered. Then, students will learn how to modify
the home page of their site. A discussion on SharePoint Designer’s file version tools is also included.
Section Five
goes further into creating a basic page. Students will learn how to add pictures, tables, bookmarks, hyperlinks, ScreenTips, and symbols to an HTML
page.
Section Six
wraps up the Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2010: Basic course with an introduction to lists, libraries, columns, and workflows. Global site management tools (such as the Permissions gallery and the Recycle Bin) are also covered.
