These Windows 8 Foundation courseware and training materials include everything you need to get started with Microsoft’s latest operating system. Whether you’ve used
previous versions of Windows before, or you’re just getting started with a computer, you’ll find this course invaluable.
Section One
focuses on the basics of Windows 8. Topics will include ways to interact with the computer, an overview of touch gestures, information on the Start screen
and the desktop, and ways to power down Windows 8.
Section Two
is all about the Start screen. To start, you’ll learn how to launch apps and manage app tiles. You’ll also learn how to use the Charms bar, manage
notifications, and download new apps from the Windows Store.
Section Three

will take an in-depth look at five of the most popular apps: Mail, Calendar, People, Messaging, and Photos.
Section Four
continues the theme of Windows 8 apps, with information on Internet Explorer as well as the General News, Bing, Finance, Travel, Sports, Maps, and SkyDrive
apps.
